Please mark your calendar and plan your dish to bring to our annual International Potluck dinner. We ask families to bring a favorite dish that reflects their heritage to share. Thank you to Ms. Denney and the entire 5th grade class, including teachers, for a wonderful performance of Fiddler on the Roof. The 5th graders learned that with teamwork and cooperation, great success can be achieved. If you would like a DVD of the performance, you can bring in this form with payment by tomorrow. Please note that the PTO is not involved with the DVD production or sale.

The 5th graders will present Fiddler on the Roof to grades K and 1 this coming Monday morning and for grade 2, 3 and 4 on Tuesday morning. Both performances will begin at 9:30am. There will also be 2 evening performances for parents at 7:30pm on Monday and Tuesday. There are still a few tickets left. Please email bowen5th@gmail.com to put your requests in.
The last day of school before break is Friday, February 17. This is a regular 3pm dismissal. School will resume Monday, February 27th
Get a chance to meet and socialize with other Bowen parents at the first ever Bowen Mystery Dinner! So here’s what will happen that night: we’ll all gather at one location for appetizers, and then divide up into small groups for dinner at one of many host houses, and then gather together again as a whole group for dessert and coffee at a third location. The Support our School Library Program ended in December and we raised over $600.00 in new books for the library. Thank you so much! We received the books and the students were SO excited to see all the great new fiction and non-fiction books. Many families have asked if they can still donate…yes! If you would like to make a general donation to the library you can send a check made payable to Bowen Elementary School, attention Donna Mason.
