Newton Kindergarten Soccer Registration is open for Spring 2012! Kindergarten Soccer is a fun and non-competitive soccer program for all Newton boys and girls of kindergarten age and has been a program of the Zervas Elementary PTO since 1993.  Games are held on Saturday mornings at Richardson Field in Waban.  Join us and meet other Kindergarten families in your neighborhood.  Late Registrations are accepted on a space available basis. The Boston College Women’s Soccer program will be holding their April and Summer clinics from April 17-20, June 25-28, and July 16-19.  It is for girls ages 6-14.  All sessions at the BC Newton campus, 9am-3pm each day.  This is an opportunity for the younger female soccer player to improve her comfort level on the ball, increase skill development, and have competitive fun.  For more information including registration contact (617) 552-0982 or soccercl@bc.edu.  Online registration may be found at: http://www.bceagles.com/camps/bc-w-soccer-camps2.html.

REGISTRATION DEADLINE FOR MOST LEAGUES ON TUESDAY JANUARY 31! On-line registration for the 2012 Spring baseball season is open for boys and girls aged 4 to 12. The programs run from April through the middle of June. The programs run by NELL: T-BALL – kindergarten or entering Kindergarten in the fall of 2012; Farm Division – 1st and 2nd grade; College Division – 3rd-6th grade: This division is a developmental league; Cooperstown Division – 3th through 6th grade: This division is a more advanced league. Players who wish to play in the Cooperstown Division must attend the tryout. Little League age 12 players may play in this division by waiver only; Major League Division – 4th through 7th grade: Open to players who are aged 10 to 12. To be placed on a Major League team you must try out.
The registration fee for T-Ball and Farm League players is $130 and for College, Cooperstown and Major League players $155. If you have more than one child in NELL, you will receive a $30.00 fee reduction for each additional player. The registration deadline is March 31, 2012 for T-Ball and January 31, 2012 for all other leagues. After the deadline, placement is not guaranteed and a late registration fee will apply (except for T-Ball). Think Spring! Think Softball! Newton Girls Softball registration is underway for the 2012 spring season. This is a recreational league for over 500 Newton girls in grades 1-10. Players of all skill levels will have a fun and rewarding experience. February 29, 2012 is the last date you can register with guaranteed placement.

Register Now for GCKS K and Pre-K Spring Soccer

Garden City Kindergarten and Pre-K Soccer is now accepting registrations for our 2012 Spring Session.

Children in Pre-K (4-5 years old) and students currently in Kindergarten are invited to participate. Pre-K children must be 4 years old by April 1, 2012. 2010. GCKS provides an introduction to the game of soccer; teaching a variety of basic skills in a fun, non-competitive environment. Team sizes are limited to 10 players in each group.

Registration is limited to 80 players per league. Spring session runs from April 7- June 2, 2012. Practice/games are held Saturdays from 9:30-10:30 am for the Kindergarten league and 10:45-11:45 am for the Pre-K league. Games are played on the field at Burr School, Pine Street in Auburndale. Volunteer parent coaches are needed. No experience is necessary and training will be provided.

Cost is $65 per child. GCKS is a joint venture of Lincoln-Eliot & Franklin School’s Parent Teacher Organization. Proceeds benefit both schools PTO programs.
