The Northeastern Soccer Program

The Northeastern soccer program has established a dynamic program, which focuses on learning through fun games and small-sided play. Co-ed groups will experience our Future Huskies philosophy of promoting fundamental skills and sportsmanship. Players are grouped both by age and by skill level so that each child is challenged, but not overwhelmed. Our goal is to provide a positive learning environment for all participants, from beginners to the advanced. We are offering two sessions, The first session is June 18-22 and the second session will be held June 25-29 with a half-day cost of $200 or full-day $325.

I have experience babysitting for multiple families, working as a preschool teacher’s assistant and as a camp counselor, and volunteering at afterschool programs in Tacoma, Washington, and in Seville, Spain, where I lived for one year. Summer Art Programs, at the New Art Center

Our innovative and fun summer program has been offered now for over 25 years!  Your child will spend the summer building a musical foundation, learning musical theater skills, producing artwork, and performing.  The day begins with ANMS piano faculty and Music Explorers director Kim Petot: a welcome circle, followed by musical games, introduction to singing and various instruments, outdoor play, and artmaking.  After lunch (which students bring from home), the afternoon is spent with ANMS musical theater coach Laura Backley, for a fun-filled afternoon of musical theater.  Each week culminates in a performance of the skills and songs learned that week.

Growing Together Toddler Program Openings

Growing Together, a Toddler Program, has an opening for Sept., 2012.  It is a developmentally based program that provides a warm, nurturing environment; a focus on socialization; and daily art, music, circle, and movement activities.  It is conveniently located within walking distance to Bowen and is held on Wed. and Fri. mornings. It is also taught by a masters’ level Early Childhood Specialist, a graduate of Wheelock College.  References from Bowen parents and others available.

Annual Kids FunFEST

The whole family can find something fun to do at Kids FunFEST on May 12-13 from 10:00-5:00. The Fair takes place behind Newton City Hall, 1000 Commonwealth Avenue. The kiddie amusement rides, sand art and face painting are all weekend. Sunday only features dance demonstrations and fun moves with All That Jazz Dance Studio. There are outstanding handmade and international crafts to browse, and several food vendors on site. Don’t miss this weekend of activities, music and food and fun! Admission is free. Classic Piano Master Class @ Brookline Music School

Brookline Music School (BMS) is pleased to present a Classical Piano Master Class led by world renowned conductor and pianist Andy Icochea Icochea on Saturday, May 19 at 4:00pm.
